Can Lagree Help You Get Rid of Cellulite?

Lagree’s Bonus Benefit: Reduce The Appearance of Your Cellulite

Yes, ladies — you read that right. On top of building strength and muscular endurance, increasing flexibility, burning calories, and so much more, Lagree has yet another benefit. It can help you get rid of that stubborn unwanted cellulite. And hey, we’re certainly not excluding men here. But it’s simply a fact that more women have cellulite than men. While cellulite afflicts just 10 percent of men, it afflicts a whopping 90 percent of women.1

The aforementioned benefits of Lagree are no well-kept secret, but the discovery that Lagree can help you get rid of cellulite has been blowing up recently.

Don’t be fooled — there is not one particular product or type of exercise that will magically fix your cellulite. So if you come across a body cream that claims to do so, proceed with caution.

But while there is no absolute cure or treatment to completely get rid of cellulite, there are things you can do to reduce the appearance of it. Lagree is one of them.

If you’ve been wanting to get rid of your cellulite but never found an effective solution, look no further. Lagree Pilates is good for cellulite. And why not go with a method that will bring you a plethora of additional benefits simultaneously?

Alright, so sure, we all have heard of cellulite — but what really IS that dimpled, bumpy stuff most commonly found on thighs, hips, and buttocks? Many describe it as having a cottage cheese or orange peel appearance. And certainly no one wants their backside to look like that….

What Causes Cellulite?

Before learning how to get rid of cellulite, it’s important to know what causes it in the first place.

The formation of cellulite involves fibrous connective cords that tether the skin to the underlying muscle, with the fat lying between.2 As the number of fat cells increases, they push up on the skin, while tough connective cords pull down. This is what creates the dimple appearance.

A loss of collagen results in cellulite being more apparent. Because collagen is a protein that keeps your skin taut and springy, when collagen levels decrease, your fat cells more easily protrude through the skin. This results in that not-so-favorable cottage cheese look.

Ultimately, what causes cellulite is a mixture of a combination of factors. These include hormonal factors, genetics, weight, muscle tone, and diet.

For instance, although you can have cellulite regardless of your weight or fitness level, weight gain typically results in the appearance of cellulite being more pronounced.

So, if weight loss can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, then it’s a no-brainer that Lagree Pilates helps to reduce cellulite since it’s a great way to shred that excess weight.

But because diet, genetics, and hormones play a role in cellulite, Lagree Pilates alone can’t make it disappear.  Factors such as these that affect whether or not you have cellulite are simply out of Lagree’s control.

How Lagree Can Help with Cellulite?

It Burns Calories

Lagree Pilates can help with cellulite in a few different ways. First of all, there’s no doubt about it that Lagree Pilates definitely burns calories. Burning calories helps reduce fat, and as I mentioned before, fat or weight loss helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.

In order for there to be a reduction in cellulite appearance, utilizing Lagree Pilates must be paired with a healthy diet. It’s common sense — although Lagree Pilates may help reduce cellulite through calorie burn, if you don’t have a calorie deficit and choose unhealthy foods, you won’t notice any improvement in cellulite reduction.

It Improves Circulation

Another benefit of Lagree Pilates is that it improves circulation. Okay, but you’re now wondering, “How does this relate to helping reduce cellulite…?”

As previously mentioned, a loss of collagen usually means a gain in the appearance of cellulite. So how do you avoid collagen loss? Well, a sedentary lifestyle contributes to collagen depletion. When you’re not moving, there’s less circulation in your skin. This means your skin receives less nutrients and oxygen, which are key in supporting healthy collagen production.

Lagree Pilates actually helps improve circulation in particular areas most affected by cellulite. And because Lagree boosts your circulation, it supports collagen maintenance and therefore reduces the appearance of cellulite.

It Boosts Skin Firmness

So far we’ve learned that Lagree Pilates can help burn calories and improve circulation. But there’s still another benefit — a boost in skin firmness. Combined with burning calories and improving circulation, increasing your skin’s firmness aids in reducing cellulite appearance.

Through higher mechanical stimulation from a high-intensity workout like Lagree Pilates, you can see an improvement in skin firmness and overall skin health.

Lagree Fit 415’s Tips

Spot Cellulite Reduction Doesn’t Exist

Hopefully by now, you’ve been made aware that spot fat reduction does not exist. Similarly, spot cellulite reduction also does not exist. There are no exercises that can be done to target cellulite reduction in specific areas on your body. In other words, there’s no such thing as cellulite exercises.

It’s impossible to reduce cellulite from a targeted area with exercise because the fat tissue from where fat is released during exercise is completely separated from muscle tissue where fat burning occurs during exercise.3 For example, cellulite fat in your booty cannot travel through several layers of tissue and reach the adjacent buttock muscles. It’s physiologically impossible.

If the scientific explanation of this is still not quite clear, think of it like this —  you cannot reduce fat, including cellulite fat, by exercising the muscles above that area.

Unfortunately, there’s tons of misinformation on the internet and if you search ‘cellulite exercises’, you’ll most likely come up with at least three million Google results. But none of these exercises directly remove or reduce cellulite. For example, doing curtsy lunges is not going to help you target that cellulite on the back of your thighs.

The exercises you’ll come across in a Google search may help strengthen and tone the muscles in those targeted areas, but ultimately spot cellulite removal exercises are nonexistent.

Whole-Body Workout vs. Cellulite Exercise

While cellulite spot reduction exercises do not exist there are two main factors that determine if a type of exercise is effective in helping to reduce cellulite. These two factors are:

  1. The ability of the exercise to reduce cellulite fat either with direct calorie burn during exercise or with long-term metabolic changes that burn calories afterwards
  2. The ability of the exercise to provide mechanical stimulation to fibroblasts, adipocytes, blood vessels, and lymph vessels. Fibroblasts are collagen and elastin-producing cells and adipocytes are fat cells.

Let’s examine the first factor in more depth. We all know burning a ton of calories during exercise is amazing. But what’s even more amazing is when you can stimulate your endocrine system into burning fuel throughout the day.  Basically this means you’ll continue to burn calories long after your workout has ended.

High-intensity exercises like running and Lagree Pilates have a greater effect on your endocrine system. You will benefit more from choosing high-intensity exercises because not only do you burn more calories during your workout, but your metabolism is boosted so that you continue to burn those calories after your workout as well.

Your best option for choosing an exercise regimen that will help in reducing cellulite is a high-intensity whole-body workout. The greater the intensity, the greater the calorie burn. And by now, you hopefully know that the higher the calorie burn, the greater the possibility of reducing cellulite appearance. Lagree offers a low-impact, but high-intensity whole-body workout, therefore it can help reduce cellulite.

Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthy

It’s important to remember that staying hydrated and eating healthy are simple habits that help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Drinking lots of water is something anyone can do — and it’s a good habit that practically costs you nothing. Staying hydrated keeps your skin glowing and supports lymphatic health and blood circulation which affect skin health.

In addition to drinking enough water, you should also eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and choose foods rich in fiber and whole grains. Just as there are multiple benefits to Lagree Pilates, there are also several benefits to staying hydrated and eating healthy. Reducing the appearance of cellulite is just another reason to establish and maintain these healthy habits if you aren’t doing so already.
